Freelance film & video editor based in Scotland

Hi! I’m Colin, a freelance video editor based in Fife, Scotland.

Film has been a big part of my life ever since I was quite young. I loved watching movies as a kid, especially the behind the scenes extras, I found seeing the technical process of how the whole thing comes together particularly fascinating, which lead to my interest and passion for making my own films throughout my teenage years and into adulthood. It’s become an important part of my life as not only a form of income but a form of self expression.

Over the past ten years, I’ve been working more in the videography field, creating promo and educational content for the NHS, shooting wedding videos, and editing exercise tutorial videos for Nuffield Health. In that time, I have continued working on my own creative projects, including both short and feature-length films.

I have experience working within a number of different types of video, including fiction, promotional content, interviews and music videos, to name a few. I can adapt to whatever job is given to me and take feedback well.

I am now looking to branch out and expand my portfolio. I am willing to take on remote/freelance editing work as well as being open to contract work.

I am proficient with DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of After Effects and general colour grading.

With ownership of professional camera gear, including a Blackmagic 6K Pro, I am also open to taking on camera work.
